Dr. Lewis earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and his medical degree from the Michigan State University of Osteopathic Medicine (MSU) in East Lansing, Michigan, and then completed a general orthopedics residency at Garden City Hospital in Garden City, Michigan.

He spent an additional year in fellowship training, emphasizing arthroscopic surgery and sports medicine, at the highly esteemed Florida Orthopedic Institute in Tampa, Florida. 

Dr. Lewis is a member of the Osteopathic Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons (AOAO), the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), and the Michigan State Medical Society (MSMS).

In addition to his surgical expertise, Dr. Lewis is at the forefront of his field with new platelet-rich plasma, hyaluronic acid, and biologic therapies that treat both overuse injuries like tendinitis and chronic conditions like knee osteoarthritis.
